NOTICE OF HEARING
On September 19, 2008, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power (RMP; Company)
filed an Application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (Commission) for authority to
increase the Company s base rates for electric service by $5.9 million annually, or 4.0%. The
increase in base rates would vary by class of customer and actual usage. The rate increase does
not apply to Agrium or Monsanto, whose rates are controlled by a separate Commission-
approved stipulation.
On October 3 , 2008, the Commission issued Notices of Application and Intervention
Deadline in Case No. PAC-08-07. Parties requesting and granted intervention were Monsanto
Company; Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association, Inc.; Community Action Partnership
Association of Idaho; and Agrium, Inc.
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that pursuant to agreement of the parties and the
Commission, the Commission has adopted the following procedural scheduling in this case:

The prepared testimony and exhibits must conform to the requirements of Rules 231 , 266 and
267 of the Commission s Rules of Procedure. Reference IDAPA 31.01.01.231 and .266-267.
The above deadlines are for testimony and exhibit filing with the Commission. E-copy service
on parties of record should be made on the same date to the extent practicable with full service of
testimony and exhibits provided to parties of record no later than the following business day.

The parties are apprised that discovery is available pursuant to Commission Rules of
Procedure, IDAPA 31.01.01.221-234. The parties should coordinate discovery requests and
responses so that they are able to comply with the established prefile deadlines. No party
submitting testimony pursuant to prefile deadline shall be required to respond to discovery
within a five-working-day window preceding the prefile deadline.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission will conduct a technical
hearing in Case No. PAC-08-07 commencing at 9:30 A.M. WEDNESDAY. MARCH 11.
2009 AT THE COMMISSION HEARING ROOM. 472 WEST WASHINGTON. BOISE.
IDAHO and continuing if necessary on March 12 and March 13, 2009 at the same location.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that an additional scheduling notice for public
workshop(s) and public hearing(s) in eastern Idaho will be issued later.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case will be held
pursuant to the Commission s jurisdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code and that the
Commission may enter any final Order consistent with its authority under Title 61.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this matter will be
conducted pursuant to the Commission s Rules of Procedure, IDAP A 31.01.01.000 et seq.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings and prehearing conferences in
this matter will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA). Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other
assistance in order to participate in or to understand testimony and argument at a public hearing
may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing.
The request for assistance must be received at least five (5) working days before the hearing by
