On behalf of Agrium - Nuwest I am writing to oppose an increase to the energy efficiency
surcharge. We currently pay approximately $40,000 per year for this surcharge. Because
of the way the program is structured we are not able to get much benefit. The energy and
cost savings derived from this program are only in the hundreds of dollars per year. As a
company we have implemented numerous energy efficiency programs which have reduced our
consumption of electricity by over $1M per year. The cost/benefit for this program ishorrible. Please consider an alternative program.
