PAC-E-08-01 COMES NOW, Rocky Mountain Power, a division of PacifiCorp (the "Company"), and hereby requests from the Idaho Public Utilities Commssion (the "Commission") a change in the effective date of the previously filed Application for an Increase to the Customer Effciency Services Rate Adjustment and Enhancement to Energy Efficiency Programs for Commercial, Industral, Agricultual and Residential Customers. On Febru 14, 2008, the Company filed an Application with the Commission for approval to: (1) adjust the collection rate of the existing demand-side management ("DSM") cost recovery mechansm (Schedule No. 191); (2) add a new energy efficiency program for Rocky Mountain Power's commercial and industral customers; and (3) make several enhancements and changes to existing programs for business and residential customers intended to improve program pedormance. In that Application, the Company proposed an effective date of April 1, 2008. In the Application, the Company proposed that Notices of the rate changes would be included with customers' bil beginng the week of Februar 25, 2008, and continue until all customers receive a bil containing the Notice. The Company estimated this would tae approximately 30 days from the date of filing. It has recently come to the attention of the Company that this Notice approach will not comply with the 30 day requirements of Idaho Code § 61-307. Accordingly, the Company requests that the Commssion modify the effective date proposed in the Application from April 1, 2008 to May 1, 2008. The Company will begin sending the customer notices on Febru 25, 2008 as previously planed, and a change in the program effective date from April 1 to May 1 will enable all customers to receive Notice more than 30 days in advance of the effective date in compliance with Idaho Code § 61- 307. The Company has included as Attachment 1 to this Motion a copy of the revised news release and customer notice that will included as a bil stuffng beginng Februar 25,2008. WHEREFORE, Rocky Mountain Power respectfully requests that the Commission issue an Order modifying the effective date of the Company's Application from April 1, 2008 to May 1, 2008 so that the Company will be able to comply with the customer notice requirements of Idaho Code § 61-307. DATED this 19th day of Februar, 2008. Respectfully submitted, ~€.~Danel E. Solander dc Attorney for Rocky Mountain Power
