PAC-E-07- is- ) ) MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF ) TIME TO FILE ANAL REPORT ) ) COMES NOW Rocky Mountain Power, a division ofPacifiCorp (the "Company"), and hereby moves the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (the "Commission") for an order authorizing an extension of time for filing its anua report. This Motion is based on the following: i. Rocky Mountain Power is authorized to do and is doing business in the state of Idao. The Company provides retail electrc service to approximately 67,000 customers in the state of Idaho and is subject to the jursdiction of the Commission. Rocky Mountan Power also provides retal electrcity servce in the states of Uta and Wyoming and PacifiCorp provides retail electric service in California, Oregon and Washington as Pacific Power. II. Anualy the Company is required by the Federal Energy Regqatory Commission ("FERC") to file a FERC Form 1 detaling fincial and operating results for each calendar year. MOTION OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER 1 This total company report is used as the basis for an Idaho-allocated FERC Form 1 report fied with the Commssion, which is a condensed version of the FERC Form 1. The Idao-allocated report is due to be fied as the Company's anua report to the Commssion no later than April 18th each year. The Company also makes an anual filing of its regulated results of operations pursuant to Order No. 29708 in Case No. PAC-E-02-03. These results of operations reports include calculations of the Company's revenue requirement as allocated to its Idaho jursdiction, and in fact, ar the source for the Company's allocation factors used to allocate costs among its six jursdictions. The results of operations are fied with the Commission no later than April 30th each year. Gathering the information needed to compile the anual results of operations and the data required to compute the inter-jursdictional cost allocation factors requires signficant effort and is a lengty process. Lag inherent in this collection process and computation of the results of operations allocated to each jursdiction curently prevents the Company from accelerating the report preparation to a date earlier than April 30th. Ths anua results of operations report most be completed pror to the Idaho state version of the FERC Form 1 to properly calculate allocated results. Consequently, the Company is unable to prepare the state-allocated FERC Form 1 to provide as its anual report to the Commission by April 18th. In the past, the Company has requested temporar deadline extensions to complete and file its anual report. The Company now respectfuly requests a permanent extension of the fiing deadline for its anual report to May 31 st each year to allow for the jursdictional results of operations to be finalized and the subsequent prepartion and fiing of the state-allocated FERC Form 1.
