On June 8, 2007, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power ("PacifiCorp ) filed an
Application for authority to increase the Company s rates for electric service by $18.5 million
annually, or an average increase of 1 0.3%. If approved, the increase in rates would vary by class
of customer and actual usage.
On June 29, 2007, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Intervention
Deadline. See Order No. 30356. The following parties have been permitted to intervene in this
proceeding: Monsanto Company; Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association; Agrium; Community
Action Partnership Association of Idaho; and Timothy J. Shurtz.
On August 2, 2007, the Commission issued a Notice of Scheduling and Notice of
Hearing declaring that a technical hearing in this matter would be scheduled for November 6
2007 in the Commission Hearing Room, 472 W. Washington, Boise, Idaho, and, if necessary,
continue on November 7 and November 8, 2007. The purpose of the technical hearing is to
allow the Company, intervenors and the Commission Staff to introduce testimony and exhibits
regarding the Company s Application to increase its rates for electric service.
On September 4, 2007 and September 5, 2007, the Commission staff conducted
public workshops for PacifiCorp customers in Rexburg and Soda Springs, Idaho. At these
workshops customers had an opportunity to hear from Commission Staff regarding the
Company s Application to increase rates and to ask questions of Staff and representatives of the
Company.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission will hold public hearings for
the purpose of receiving public comment. The first public hearing for PacifiCorp customers will
commence on TUESDAY. OCTOBER 30. 2007. IN RIGBY. IDAHO AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

JEFFERSON COUNTY COURTHOUSE. 210 COURTHOUSE WAY (RIGHT OFF
RIGBY LAKE DRIVE). RIGBY. IDAHO At this meeting customers will have an
opportunity to offer sworn testimony regarding PacifiCorp s Application to increase its rates for
electric service.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission will hold a second public
hearing for PacifiCorp customers on THURSDAY. NOVEMBER 1. 2007. IN GRACE.

to offer sworn testimony regarding PacifiCorp s Application to increase its rates for electric

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings in this matter will be held in
facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance in order to participate
in or to understand testimony and argument at a public hearing may ask the Commission to
provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing. The request for assistance
must be received at least five (5) working days before the hearing by contacting the Commission

may be viewed on the Commission s website www.puc.idaho.gov by clicking on "File Room
and then "Electric Cases " or it can be viewed during regular business hours at the Idaho Public
Utilities Commission, 472 W. Washington Street, Boise, Idaho.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case will be held
pursuant to the Commission s jurisdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code and specifically
Idaho Code ~~ 61-302, 61-307, 61-502, 61-503 , 61-507, 61-622, and 61-623. The Commission
may enter any final Order consistent with its authority under Title 61.
