On August 9, 1996 Idaho Power Company filed a letter requesting an emergency exeption from the 70-hour rule in 49 CFR, Section 395.3 as adopted by the Commission in Motor Carrier Rule 3l.61.01.019. (Copy of the letter setting out details of the request is attached hereto and made a part of this Minute Entry.)
Also on August 9, 1996, Commissioners Ralph Nelson and Marsha H. Smith held a Special Emergency Decision Meeting to consider said request of Idaho Power Company.
The decision was to grant Idaho Power Company an exemption from the 70-hour rule until midnight, August 13, 1996. Subsequently on August 9, 1996, Order No. 26561 was signed by Commissioners Nelson and Smith and issued that day.
