Comment description: Currently PacifiCorp lags substantially behind Idaho Power and Avista
in its support for the regional Energy Star Homes program in Idaho. It similarly lags
Idaho Power in commercial and industrial efficiency ini tiati ves. I believe it would be
prudent if PaciCorp were encouraged to review its efficiency programs for new residences,
existing residences that are electrically heated and do not qualify for low income
weatherization, commercial buildings and industrial facilities. Another recommendation is
that it consider establishing a communication mechanism in Idaho for efficiency issues
such as Idaho Power s Energy Efficiency Advisory Group.
