Re: Case No. PAC-05-, Purchase of PacifiCorp
Dear Commissioners;
In your review of the above stated case , will you please note that my position is
in support of the planned purchase of PacifiCorp by MidAmerican Energy
Holdings Company.
I believe overall that this purchase will have benefit for PacifiCorp s Idaho
customers, especially for the irrigators. Ownership by Mid American would
provide PacifiCorp with long-term stability and access to the capital resources
necessary to fund sustained investment in their electric system. In addition I am
informed that they have committed to a $75 million investment in the asset risk
program to improve distribution reliability.
Just these items alone should make the company stronger as they move into the
future, and ultimately provide a greater opportunity for the long term rate stability
which is essential to us as irrigators.
Thank you for considering my input.
Sincerely,
Bevan Jeppesen

planned purchase ofPacifiCorp by Mid American Energy Holding Company.
We believe this purchase will be good for PacifiCorp s Idaho customers and for Madison
