Dear Ms. Noriyuki:
Pursuant to Commitmentl l7(2), incorporated in the Idaho Public Utilities Commission
OrderNo.29973, issued February 13,2006, as supplemented by OrderNo.29998 March 14,
2006, in the above-referenced proceeding, approving the acquisition of PacifiCorp by
MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company (now Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company or BHE),
PacifiCorp hereby provides notice of an affiliated interest transaction with Nevada Power
Company (NV Energy).
PacifiCorp entered into an agreement with its affiliate NV Energy to supply the latter
with electrical switchgear equipment. The switchgear equipment is needed by NV Energy to
ensure new customers are connected within its service area. The sale will be effected through a
purchase order (#0000043703). A verified copy of the purchase order is included with this notice
as Confidential Attachment A.
PacifiCorp is a wholly owned, indirect subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy
Company (BHE). NV Energy is also a wholly owned, indirect subsidiary of BHE. Therefore,
BHE's ownership interest in both companies creates an affiliated interest between PacifiCorp
and NV Energy.
PacifiCorp originally purchased the equipment for f rhS@of the equipment
to be purchased by NV Energy under the Agreement is approximately f PacifiCorp was
able to provide the specified equipment to NV Energy at the best cost and terms when compared
to other optious on the market, along with a premium that benefits PacifiCorp's customers. Thus,
the use of PacifiCorp as supplier of the switchgear equipment under the Apreement is in the
public interest. The prices above aud iucluded with the attached purchase order are coufideutial.
The cost iufor:natiou, which, if disclosed to the public, could erode the corupany's ability to
bargain with veudors in the future. In addition, there is a pricing clause with the supplier of the
switchgear equipment which requests the pricing infonnation remain confidential.

will contain the following information:(1) A valid NV Energy purchase order (PO) number - including the leading zeros;(2) The PO Revision Number or Release Number, if applicable;(3) lnvoices for material only - a reference to the PO Line Number and Schedule Number for each lnvoice Line;(4) The full name of NV Energy's personnel who requested the expenditure (to the eltent available);(5) Counterparty's legal name and mailing address; name, title, and telephone number of its contact person;(6) Counterparty's remittance address if different from its mailing address;(7) A unique invoice number;(8) lnvoice date, its due date, payment terms, and, if offered, the early payment discount terms;(9) Separate invoice lines for material and labor (when applicable) with appropriate tax applied to material portion
