Dear Ms. Noriyuki:
Pursuant to Commitmentl l7(2), incorporated in the Idaho Public Utilities Commission
OrderNo. 29973,issued February 13,2006,as supplemented by OrderNo.29998 March 14,2006,
in the above-referenced proceeding, approving the acquisition of PacifiCorp by MidAmerican
Energy Holdings Company (now Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company or BHE), PacifiCorp
hereby provides notice of an affiliated interest fansaction with BHE Wind, LLC (BHE Wind).
PacifiCorp will be selling wind turbine equipment to BHE Wind. A verified copy of the
Purchase and Sale Agreement and Bill of Sale (Agreements) are included with this Notice as
Confidential Attachment A and Attachment B. PacifiCorp provides both confidential attachments
subject to protection under IDAPA 31.01.01.067 and 31.01.01 .233, the Idatro Public Utilities
Commission's Rules of Procedure No. 67 - Information Exempt from Public Review. This
confidential business information is of significant commercial value, which could expose
PacifiCorp to competitive injury and/or the potential for commercial fraud against PacifiCorp if
disclosure is unrestricted. Therefore, PacifiCorp requests confidential treatnent on the basis that
the documents contain valuable commercial information, including confidential marketing, cost,
and financial information.
PacifiCorp is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company (BHE).
BHE Renewables, LLC (BHER) is also a wholly-owned subsidiary of BHE. BHE Wind is a wholly
owned subsidiary of BHER. Therefore, BHE's ownership interest in PacifiCorp and BHE Wind
creates an affiliate interest relationship between PacifiCorp and BHE Wind.

Based in Phoenix, Arizorra, BHE Wind owns wind projects that produce energy for both
the wholesale market and for customers under long-term power agreements. PacifiCorp is
transferring certain wind turbine equipment to BHE Wind to enable a project that BHE Wind is
developing to qualiff for production tax credits @TCs).
General Electric turbine equipment will be transferred from PacifiCorp to BHE Wind by a
purchase and sale agreement priced at PacifiCorp's cost. This equipment is not necessary for the
construction or safe harbor of PacifiCorp's recently developed wind projects and PacifiCorp has
no additional projects to which the equipment could be deployed in order to qualifr such project
for PTCs. Furthermore, the transfer of this surplus equipment, which has not been placed in service
for PacifiCorp, will benefit customers by ceasing the continued accrual of costs for storage,
maintenance, and allowance of funds used during construction on PacifiCorp's books before the
equipment could be incorporated into a potential future wind energy project.
