Jewell Commission Secretar Re: MEHC Merger Commitment 1-1 Irrigation Specialist This notice is pursuant to MEHC/PacifiCorp Idaho specific merger commitment 1-1 from Order No. 29998 approved for Case No. PAC-E-05-08, which states: I-I. MEHC/PacifCorp wil continue to make a dedicated Irrigation Specialist available in Rexburg and Shelley in the Idaho service territory. The effectiveness of this service wil be reviewed at the end of the 2007 irrigation season to determine whether it should be continued The Irrigation Hotline wil continue to be available Monday through Saturday, except holidays, from 7 AM to 7 PM, with the number published in the phone directory. Rocky Mountan Power has reviewed the effectiveness of this position and determined at ths time it is providing needed service to our irrigation customers. Therefore it is Rocky Mountain Power's intent to retain this position as long as it is deemed to meet the needs of our customers and the company. Attched is a copy of the job description, responsibilities and duties of this position. Job Descriptions A.) Irrigation Products Manager. Position Overview: The purpose of an Irrigation Products Manager is to provide superior account management to Rocky Mountain Power's irrigation customers. This person functions as the primary point of contact with assigned irrigation customers, including being an advocate for the customer and taking the lead to ensure actions required to meet the customer's needs are completed. This includes providing support for biling and payment, load control and energy efficiency programs, power quality and reliability, tariff and rate interpretation, SPA exchange credits, and interfacing with the irrigation hot line representatives in the call centers. Responsibilities/Competencies . Establish business relationships through account management with assigned customers. . Assist customers to take advantage of company programs, such as load control and irrigation tariff options, to aid them in managing their energy consumption and costs. . Assists company personnel in designing programs to meet irrigation customer and company needs. . Coordinate with irrigation hot line to resolve customer questions and concerns and provide personal contact with irrigators. . Work with assigned customers to ensure payments are made in a timely manner. . Provide solutions and recommendations regarding our customers concerns and questions. Create a positive influence on their future decisions to support Rocky Mountain Power as their energy service provider. . Utilize project management, teamwork, and leadership skils to communicate in a manner that wil effectively leverage corporate resources and competencies. . Initiate a proactive contact cycle for assigned customers, with scheduling dependent on customers' needs and desire for contact by Rocky Mountain Power. . Assist customers with energy effciency programs to enable them to manage their energy usage and costs more effectively. Intended Results . Improve Customer satisfaction and communication. . Improve customer understanding of load control and tariff options to enable them to effectively manage energy costs. . Educate customers and assist them to take advantage of energy efficiency options. . Ensure customer account balances are paid and keep net write offs to a minimum. . Work with broad latitude to ássess the specific needs of customers and initiate options to satisfy their needs. Education/Qualifications: . A bachelors degree in business, finance, marketing, or complementary discipline, or, education and/or equivalent experience which has contributed to the development of proven problem solving, analytical and strategizing skils. . Proven account management skils and results preferably with energy or similar products and services . Excellent interpersonal skills, including proven ability to establish trust and maintain confidence; understands concepts and causes for behaviors in diverse social and/or business situations. . Outstanding communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds. . Working knowledge of the energy business, electric principles, regulation, and political environment on a state and community leveL. . Demonstrated project management, team work, and leadership skils to produced desired business results. . Proven skills in influencing others to negotiate to an acceptable solution. . Proven technical/engineering competencies and demonstrated experience managing irrigation customers. Disciplines Activities related to the Irrigation Products Manager will require a broad range of industry knowledge, and knowledge of regulations, tariffs, line extension and other customer related policies. Telephone, computer and internet skils are required to be effective in this position. Candidate must understand the electric utility business and how to strengthen customer loyalty and profitability .
