AMENDED NOTICE OF
PUBLI C HEARINGS
On January 15, 2005, PacifiCorp dba Utah Power & Light Company (PacifiCorp;
Company) filed an Application for authority to increase the Company s general rates for electric
service by an average of 12.5%. If approved, the Company revenues for electric base retail rates
would increase by $15.1 million annually. The net amount of actual increase varies by class of
customer and usage.
On February 3 , 2005, the Commission issued Notices of Application and Intervention
Deadline in Case No. P AC-05-1. Parties requesting and granted intervention were: Monsanto
Company, Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association, Inc., Agrium, Inc., J.R. Simplot Company,
Community Action Partnership Association of Idaho and Timothy J. Shurtz.
On March 16, 2005 , the Commission issued Notices of Scheduling and Hearing in Case
No. PAC-05-1. Pursuant to such scheduling, a technical hearing was scheduled for August 2-
2005 in Boise, Idaho. Public hearings in eastern Idaho for the purpose of receiving public
comments were scheduled for August 15 in Rigby, Idaho and August 16 in Grace, Idaho.
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that Commission scheduling requires that the public
hearings in eastern Idaho for the purpose of receiving public comments be rescheduled and in
accordance therewith, the Commission issues the following amended scheduling:
The first public hearing will commence on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17,2005 AT
7:00 P.M. AT THE SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER, 367 COMMUNITY LANE, RIGBY,
IDAHO (ru!ID 745-8211)
A second public hearing for the purpose of receiving public comments will commence
on THURSDAY, AUGUST 18,2005, AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE GEM VALLEY PERFORMING
ARTS CENTER, 704 MAIN STREET, GRACE, IDAHO (ru!ID 425-3731).
YOU ARE FUTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case will held pursuant to
the Commission s jurisdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code and that the Commission may enter
any final Order consistent with its authority under Title 61.
AMENDED NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this matter will be conducted
pursuant to the Commission s Rules of Procedure, IDAPA 31.01.01.000 et seq.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings and prehearing conferences in this
matter will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA). Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance
in order to participate in or to understand testimony and argument at a public hearing may ask the
Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing. The request
for assistance must be received at least five (5) working days before the hearing by contacting the
