NOTICE OF HEARING
On January 15, 2005 , PacifiCorp dba Utah Power & Light Company (PacifiCorp;
Company) filed an Application for authority to increase the Company s general rates for electric
service by an average of 12.5%. If approved, the Company revenues for electric base retail rates
would increase by $15.1 million annually. The net amount of actual increase varies by class of
customer and usage.
On February 3, 2005, the Commission issued Notices of Application and Intervention
Deadline in Case No. P AC-05-1. Parties requesting and granted intervention were: Monsanto
Company, Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association, Inc., Agrium, Inc., J.R. Simplot Company,
Community Action Partnership Association of Idaho and Timothy J. Shurtz.
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that pursuant to agreement with the parties and the
Commission, the Commission has adopted the following procedural scheduling in this case:
Deadline for prefiling direct testimony and
exhibits - Staff and Intervenors
June 17, 2005
Deadline for prefiling rebuttal testimony
and exhibits
July 12, 2005
The prepared testimony and exhibits must conform to the requirements of Rules 266 and 267
the Commission s Rules of Procedure. Reference IDAPA 31.01.01.266-267.
The parties are apprised that discovery is available pursuant to Commission Rules of
Procedure, ID AP A 31. 01. 01.221- 234. The parties should coordinate discovery requests and
responses so that they are able to comply with the established prefiled deadlines. No party
submitting testimony pursuant to prefile deadline shall be required to respond to discovery
within a five working day window preceding the prefile deadline.

YOU ARE FUTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case will held pursuant
to the Commission s jurisdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code and that the Commission may
enter any final Order consistent with its authority under Title 61.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this matter will be
conducted pursuant to the Commission s Rules of Procedure, IDAP A 31.01.01.000 et seq.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings and prehearing conferences in
this matter will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA). Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other
assistance in order to participate in or to understand testimony and argument at a public hearing
may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing.
