P AC-02- MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE COMES NOW Rocky Mountain Power, a division ofPacifiCorp ("RMP" or the Company ), and hereby moves the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ("IPUC" or the Commission ) for authorization to delay the annual filing of its results of operations. This Motion is based on the following: Pursuant to Commission Order No. 29708 and as a condition for approval of the Revised Protocol cost allocation methodology, Case No. PAC-02-, Rocky Mountain Power is required to file annual results of operations with the Commission to allow parties to evaluate the ongoing reasonableness of the Revised Protocol. Based on the following, the Company respectfully requests the Commission authorize the Company to delay the filing of its 2006 results of operations. II. Rocky Mountain Power was recently created when PacifiCorp was acquired by MOTION OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company ("MEHC"), approved by the Commission on March 2006 in Order No. 29998. As part ofthe Company s integration into the MEHC group, RMP changed its fiscal year reporting from a year ending March 31 to a calendar year basis. Under the previous fiscal year reporting, the Company filed its annual results of operations by the end of July each year. With the change in fiscal year, the Company anticipated it would file its 2006 results by the end of April 2007. IlL Concurrent with the filing of this Motion, the Company filed with the Commission a notice of intent to file a general rate case, pursuant to IPUC Rule of Procedure 122. Such a notice of intent provides a window for filing a general rate case between 60 and 120 days after the filing of the notice. The Company is currently in the process of preparing the results of operations that would form the basis of both the annual compliance filing pursuant to Order No. 29708 and any general rate case ultimately filed with the Commission. As a result, the Company respectfully requests authorization to delay filing the annual results of operation until a date coincident with the filing of the anticipated general rate case. At that time, the Company will file the results of operations report, satisfying the annual filing requirement. In the event a general rate case is not filed by the Company prior to July 31 , 2007, the Company will file its annual results of operation report with the Commission on July 31 , 2007. IV.
