CASE NO. PAC-E-00-6
NOTICE OF MULTI-STATE WORKSHOPS RE: INTER-JURISDICTIONAL ALLOCATION
NOTICE OF SCHEDULING
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that on December 1, 2000, PacifiCorp (Company) and PacifiCorp Idaho, Inc. (jointly, the Applicants) filed an Application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (Commission) requesting approval to implement a restructuring of PacifiCorp into six separate state electric companies, a generation company and a service company. The Company is proposing this restructuring because it has concluded that its existing structure and interjurisdictional cost allocation is a source of risk and uncertainty that is not in the long term best interests of its customers or shareholders.
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that a multi-state Commission dialogue (a series of perhaps four meetings) is being proposed to consider and develop a consistent method for all six states for PacifiCorp interjurisdictional allocations. All meetings and/or workshops will be open to the public. Participation is open to the public, parties of record, Commissioners and Commission Staff (i.e., technical advisors to the Commissioners).
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that an initial focus meeting is being held in Portland, Oregon and Salt Lake City, Utah on Wednesday, February 6, 2002. Both locations have video capabilities and a Meet-Me-Line is available for those who are not able to attend in person (see below).

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the tentative agenda for the initial focus meeting regarding interjurisdictional cost allocation is (1) a description of the current situation including financial impacts across states; (2) an identification of emerging issues and respective financial risks of cost recovery; (3) an identification of options including financial impacts across states; and (4) a determination of objectives, process and further scheduling for up to four additional meetings (late February, mid-March, early May, and early June).
It is envisioned that any outcome, memorandum of understanding, or recommendations that result from this process will be taken back for individual state Commission review.
DATED at Boise, Idaho this day of January 2002.
PAUL KJELLANDER, PRESIDENT
MARSHA H. SMITH, COMMISSIONER
DENNIS S. HANSEN, COMMISSIONER
