On February 13 , 2006, the Commission issued Order No. 29973 authorizing
MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company s acquisition of PacifiCorp dba Utah Power & Light
Company. As a result of the acquisition, on April 19, 2006, PacifiCorp notified the Commission it
intends to change its assumed business name in the State of Idaho from PacifiCorp dba Utah Power
& Light Company to PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power.
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the public convenience and necessity requires, or will
require, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power, its successors and assigns to hold, construct, or
otherwise acquire and to maintain and to operate an electrical distribution system and supply electric
service in that certain territory within the State of Idaho, as indicated on the attached map, and other
public places in said territory as the same now exists or may hereafter be extended, laid out or
established, and to exercise the rights and privileges granted, or to which may hereafter be granted
PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power, its successors or assigns, by any franchise conferred by the
state of Idaho or any political subdivision thereof.
This Certificate is predicated upon and issued pursuant to the findings of the
Commission in Order No. 29973, issued on February 13 2006.
