IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF SPECIAL CONTRACT AND TARIFF SCHEDULE 34 TO PROVIDE ELECTRIC SERVICE TO LAMB WESTON, INC.

BACKGROUND
On or about August 25, 2022, the Idaho Power Company ("Company") informed Lamb
Weston, Inc. ("Lamb Weston") that service under Schedule 19 would no longer be possible once
the power consumption for Lamb Weston's manufacturing facility located in American Falls,
Idaho exceeded 20,000 kilowatts ("kW"). At that time, Lamb Weston informed the Company
that it expected to exceed 20,000 kW as soon as July of 2023.
On May 23, 2023, the Company applied to the Idaho Public Utilities Commission
("Commission") for an Order approving a special contract under Schedule 34 between the
Company and Lamb Weston.
On July 14, 2023, the Company filed an Errata to the Application correcting the Monthly
Billing Demand Charge in Schedule 34 from $12.67 per kW in the original Application to
$14.62 per kW included in the Errata.
On September 21, 2023, the Commission approved the Special Contract and the amended
Schedule 34 through Order No. 35929.
On September 28, 2023, the Company submitted a compliance filing with the amended
Schedule 34 reflecting the Commission's order number and effective date of the Order.

STAFF REVIEW
Staff verified that the rates and contents of Schedule 34 submitted in the Company's
Compliance Filing matches the combination of the Schedule 34 filed with the Application and
subsequent corrections filed in the Company's Errata to the Application.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Schedule 34 submitted in the Compliance filingbe approved.
