Good afternoon,
I am extremely concerned about the lack of public hearings on Idaho Power's rooftop
solar changes. Tuesday's hearing is again set for regular business hours. As a
housing case manager for Jesse Tree, I work with low-income folks in the Treasure
Valley most impacted by environmental injustice. This poor working class will nothave an opportunity to share their opinion of the proposed changes and how they will
be impacted.
I urge you to consider adding additional hearings that are outside the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.window and are long enough to allow everyone to speak, be located in at least two
more cities, and include a virtual testimony option for all the people who can't attend
in-person. Please help people participate in our democracy, particularly on proposals
coming from a monopoly utility.
Thank you,
Cory Johnson

Hello,I'm an Idaho Power and rooftop solar customer. I'm concerned about the very limited publicaccess to the upcoming hearings on Idaho Power's rooftop solar changes. The hearings need tobe after general working hours, be long enough to allow everyone to speak, be located in atleast two more cities, and include a virtual testimony option for all the people who can't attendin-person like myself.
Are email comments being accepted?
If so, I oppose all proposals coming from a monopoly utility that raise prices for solar ownerswho are investing their own money to save Idaho Power from having to build new powerplants as our state's population grows. I am particularly concerned about the proposal and howit will negatively impact farmers who installed solar to help lower energy use with irrigation. I urge you to deny this proposal and stand with solar owners as we work to make the gridmore sustainable.
Thanks,Laurie

I Tailor Sponcey am advocating for the PUC to help stop Idaho Power from decreasing thesolar credit earning potential on the basis of the points listed below, as well as help to betterincentivize more utility customers the potential option to opt for solar power.
· Idaho Power has a 100% clean energy goal - keep the public interested
and contributing to that goal with fair programs, including sufficient solar credit
earning potential. Distributed energy system owners should be fairly
compensated for the services they provide and programs should enable a local
energy economy.
· Customers of all types deserve programs that help make the right choice for
their family’s energy use, ensuring pathways to universal access for all Idaho &
Oregon residents to participate in energy production
· Local clean energy systems provide grid security and reliability while
protecting our climate and public lands from catastrophic events like wildfires
· Solar programs provide countless, high profile jobs for diverse groups of
people. From administrative and electrical, inspectors, and utility employees
alike. Please don't downsize jobs in Idaho and Oregon by decreasing the public
interest in the growing solar industry by reducing their incentive for clean
energy.
Thank you

Comment: "To Commissioner's Anderson, Hammond, and Lodge:
Thank you for your service on the Public Utilities Commission.
I am writing today because the Public Utilities Commission's (PUC) needs to DISAPPROVE the proposal from
Idaho Power which will result in gutting Idaho's rooftop solar program.
The current proposal will push rooftop solar further and further out of reach for Idahoans, the proposal needs to be
worked so that homeowners who obtain solar panels benefit fairly. Solar owners deserve fair and full compensation
for the excess solar energy they give back to the utility, not the pennies that Idaho Power wants to provide based on
its skewed calculations.
Additionally, the public hearings need to be more accessible beyond the 3 hour window in the middle of a workday,
and a virtual option needs to be provided. Idahoans deserve a more accessible and democratic public process.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
