Indicang that non-solar customers are “subsidizing” systems that generate power is absurd. I am firmly opposed to Idaho Power increasing my power bill because, ironically, I’m using less of their energy. I believe a 30% increase (as stated in the leter) in anything at this me is outrageous and should not be considered. Furthermore, why do I feel that I am being penalized for generang my own electricity? My surplus is at the mercy of Idaho Power. They do not store my surplus in safety deposit box, waing for me to use it, they sell that power to other customers in and out of state and give me a credit for that amount. I would like to see how much my overage is being sold to other customers for. While they are making money or rather having less of the burden of generang that much more power from my solar panels, why am I being asked to pay more? I understand the fee of $5.16 per month to stay on the "grid", however a change from $5 to $12 is a 58% increase to my power bill (not the 30% stated in the leter) and not acceptable. How are my solar panels cosng them more money that would jusfy them requiring more money from me? This feels like a ploy to line pockets from those who have deliberately done what they can to lower their bills. The panels were not cheap to install and even with tax credits it was a large sum of money. Idaho Power has no maintenance, no depreciaon, and no labor to expense back to me regarding my solar panels so how can they explain a 58% increase?" ------ htps://puc.intranet.idaho.gov/apps/intranet/Comment [Opens the PUC Intranet applicaon] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
