MINUTES OF DECISION MEETING
SEPTEMBER 1, 1994
In attendance at this time were: Commissioners Marsha H. Smith, Joe Miller, and Ralph Nelson and staff members Tonya Clark, Don Howell, Scott Woodbury, Lori Mann, Rick Sterling, Syd Lansing, Weldon Stutzman, Bob Smith, Gary Richardson, Joe Cusick, Eileen Benner, Stephanie Miller, Madonna Faunce, Don Oliason and Mary Friddle and Chris Maschmann. Also in attendance were John Souba of US WEST and Sam Turner of Idaho Power Company.
Items from the September 1, 1994 Agenda were discussed and acted upon as follows.
7. Scott Woodbury’s August 30, 1994 Decision Memorandum re: WWP-G-94-3 Gas Tracker.
Decision: Approved Company’s application for rate increase.
1. Mary Friddle’s August 30, 1994 Decision Memorandum re: Scolville Branch Line, Case No. UP-RR-89-4.
Decision: Approved staff recommendation of modified procedure.
2. Regulated Carrier Division Agenda dated September 1, 1994.
Decision: Approved
3. Don Howell’s August 24, 1994 Decision Memorandum re: Calculation of the revenue sharing amount for the 1993 sharing year, Case No. USW-S-94-2.
Marsha Smith said the staff and Company has worked this out.
Ralph Nelson said it looked good to him.
Don Howell said the actual number of customers is 3,000 more than was in the report.
Ralph Nelson asked if all of these customers got paid in the past or credit?
Don Howell said 3,000 customers never received title 61 credit. He asked if this could be held for a week so he could find out what’s going on.
Decision: Hold this agenda item until next decision meeting - September 7, 1994.
4. Weldon Stutzman’s August 26, 1994 Decision Memorandum re: Tucker v. Idaho Power Company - Complaint to change Tucker’s vested interest in line extension from five years to ten years, Case No. IPC-E-94-12.
Commissioner Miller asked that this item be held. He stated that he never received a copy of the decision memo..
Decision: Hold this item until the next decision meeting - September 7, 1994.
5. Bob Smith and Rick Sterling’s August 30, 1994 Decision Memorandum re: Murray Water Works, Case No. MUR-W-94-1.
Lori Mann said there were 25 customers at the meeting.
Marsha Smith asked if they were satisfied with the information given at the meeting. Do they feel the owner has made adjustments?
Bob Smith said the rates are acceptable if the quality is brought back. It will require an additional $2-5 per month per customer. The customers are willing to pay this.
Joe Miller said good service and educate the people.
Decision - Modified Procedure.
6. Scott Woodbury’s August 30, 1994 Decision Memorandum re: Case No WWP-E-94-6 Vaagen Bros Lumber Inc. v WWP
This item was discussed and decision made to grant the Motion to Dismiss.
