Comment: "I have commented previously about my opposi�on to this rate increase. A�er atending an
informa�onal Zoom mee�ng on the proposal, I have addi�onal comments.

The proposed 7-fold increase in the customer charge from $5.00 per month to $35.00 per month is
counterproduc�ve. This increase will be a disincen�ve for Idaho Power to be efficient in its produc�on
and delivery of electrical service to ratepayers. By allowing this increase, the PUC will be incen�vizing
Idaho Power to spend money without consequence.

When shopping for any commodity, a purchaser is very seldom charged a fee before buying a product.
Charges are based on how much of the product is purchased. By elimina�ng this pricing feedback, users
will be incen�vized to use more power. This is the opposite of Idaho Powers' stated inten�on of energy
conserva�on and "clean" energy produc�on. This runs counter to the "energy efficiency service" we are
charged for on a monthly basis.

This grab for more fixed income should be denied in its en�rety.
