Comment: "Please deny this request. Between 1/1/20 and 4/5/23, Idaho Power contributed a total of
$248,300 to 114 candidates for elected office and 9 poli�cal ac�on commitees. The smallest dona�on
was $250 and the largest was $17,000 two weeks ago to the Idaho Prosperity Fund. Public u�li�es
should not be allowed to make campaign contribu�ons, period. They are a monopoly and I don't have a
choice in electric companies, so I can't take my business elsewhere. I don't appreciate their using my
money to make their poli�cal statements. It would be nice to see a list of all the other groups and causes
they donated to, such as the Pride Fes�val, etc., but that informa�on is not readily available. However, I
believe it to be considerable. If they have extra money to fling around, they don't need a rate increase.
Perhaps they should consider belt �ghtening like the rest of us have had to do these past couple of
years. It doesn't grow on trees, you know. Thank you."
