Comment: "The solar power generation panels I installed on my roof cost $26,000. After getting bids from 4 companies, that was the best price we could find. With the tax incentives,
the price came down to $19,000. Our average electric bill was $85. For a 20 year period (the life expectancy of the solar panels) that would be $20,400, barely breaking even on the cost of
the system. Not to mention the damage to the roof from workers walking on it for several days. If Idaho Power reduces the Export Credit Rate there will be no reason for anyone to
install solar panels, there would be a significant reduction in renewable energy available to Idaho Power. As the customer base continues to expand, Idaho Power should be looking for
ways to incentivize the installation of solar panels, not discourage it. If I had known that Idaho Power would make it a net loss to install solar panels I never would have paid the high price. I
believe Idaho Power is putting it's electricity generation at risk by making solar panels a poor investment for the customer. When power demands exceed the capacity it will be too late to
reverse course and return to the current ECR. Please do what you can to encourage more people to install solar panels. Your children and grandchildren will thank you. Sincerely, L
