Comment: "Dear Commissioners, I just had solar installed on my roof a few weeks ago and I was displease hearing the news that Idaho Power is trying to take away the 1-for-1 credit on
home generation systems. After doing some research, I have found that there are multiple websites that site multiple studies showing the benefits to the environment, Utility and
costumers from home solar generation systems. A perfect example is a study Pacific Northwest nation Laboratory did in 2018. In the study, a tool was developed by comparing
multiple states compensation structures. This in turn showed the affect of home solar generation on the utility. I think it would be in the publics best interest to have an independent
company like Pacific Northwest National Laboratory do a comprehensive study because this decision will drastically affect people that have solar and the ones that wish to get solar in the
future. Based on information provided from Solar Energy Industries Association, Nevada Energy did a similar credit reduction and home solar generation permits decrease by 92% in
2016. Changing the 1-for-1 credit structure will only benefit Idaho Power and deter home owns from generating their own power."

Dear Commissioners Anderson, Chatburn and Hammond,
I am writing to request that you reject Idaho Power's recent rooftop solar study until it is
reviewed by a third party and includes a long term cost benefit analysis.
The study should include figures indicating the long term costs to Idaho residents if energyrelated emissions and biodiversity loss continue, without highly incentivized solar initiatives.
We are already looking at extreme long term market volatility as hydroelectric power becomesless reliable, and increasing public health costs as emissions from fossil fuel generated
electricity harm residents.
Idaho Power's profit structure should not dictate decisions impacting the future public andenvironmental health of Idahoans.
