SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF IDAHO POWER COMPANY’S APPLICATION FOR
APPROVAL OR REJECTION OF AN ENERGY SALES AGREEMENT
WITH SHINGLE CREEK LLC, FOR THE SALE AND PURCHASE OF
ELECTRIC ENERGY FROM THE SHINGLE CREEK HYDRO PROJECT;
IPC-E-22-02.
On February 4, 2022, Idaho Power Company (“Company”) applied to the Commission
for an order approving an Energy Sales Agreement (“ESA”) between the Company and Shingle
Creek LLC, (“Seller”) for the purchase of electric generation from the Shingle Creek Hydro Project
(“Facility”) located near Riggins, Idaho. The ESA is a new contract with the same Qualifying
Facility (“QF”) for a new term and current terms and conditions. The Company requests its
Application be processed by Modified Procedure.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends the Commission issue Notice of Application and Notice of Modified
Procedure and establish a March 31, 2022, public comment deadline and an April 7, 2022,
Company reply deadline.
