A transition to gas prolongs Idaho Power's reliance on fossil fuels, is risky due to volatile gas prices, and does not allow for energy independence. It is bad for hardworking Idaho customers, and bad for our environment. If Idaho Power's "purpose," which is written on their website ("Serving those who depend on us is at the center of everything we do.") is correct, then Idaho Power would not transition to gas at the Bridger plant.
