SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF IDAHO POWER
COMPANY FOR AUTHORITY TO ESTABLISH A NEW SCHEDULE TO
SERVE SPECULATIVE HIGH-DENSITY LOAD CUSTOMERS; CASE
NO. IPC-E-21-37.
On November 4, 2021, Idaho Power Company (“Company”) applied to the
Commission for authority to establish a new schedule to serve speculative high-density customers,
specifically, large-scale cryptocurrency mining operators. The Company reported that it had

requested that its Application be processed by modified procedure.
On December 1, 2021, the Commission issued Notice of the Company’s Application
and Notice of an Intervention Deadline. See Order No. 35276. The Commission granted
intervention into this case to the Industrial Customers of Idaho Power, and 2140 Labs LLC. See
Order No. 35276.

Staff has conferred with all parties who have agreed that the Company’s Petition can
be processed by Modified Procedure. The parties also agreed on dates for comment and reply

the Company’s Petition on or before April 12, 2022. The parties also agreed that the Company
may file any reply comments, if any, on or before April 26, 2022.
