ORDER NO. 35461

On November 4, 2021, Idaho Power Company (“Company”) applied to the Commission
for authority to establish a new schedule to serve speculative high-density customers—
specifically, large-scale cryptocurrency mining operators (“HDL Customers”). The Commission
approved the Company’s Application as filed and authorized it to establish a new customer
classification and implement the new Schedule 20 – Speculative High-Density Load (“Schedule
20”). Order No. 35428.
The Company subsequently filed a compliance filing (“Filing”) containing new Schedule
20 tariff sheets, and other existing tariff sheets that were updated to reference the new Schedule
20. Staff reviewed the Company’s Filing and recommended the Commission approve the new and
updated tariff sheets.
COMMISSION FINDINGS AND DECISION
After reviewing the Company’s Filing, we find the new tariff sheets and updated tariff
sheets are consistent with our directives in Order No. 35428. Accordingly, we accept the
Company’s Filing.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Company’s Schedule 20 tariff sheets and other
updated tariff sheets are accepted.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER. Any person interested in this Order may petition for
reconsideration within twenty-one (21) days of the service date of this Order. Within seven (7)
days after any person has petitioned for reconsideration, any other person may cross-petition for
reconsideration. See Idaho Code § 61-626.
