SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF IDAHO POWER COMPANY’S APPLICATION FOR
APPROVAL OR REJECTION OF THE THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE
ENERGY SALES AGREEMENT WITH RIVERSIDE INVESTMENTS I,
LLC; CASE NO. IPC-E-21-29.
On August 26, 2021, Idaho Power Company (“Company”) applied with the
Commission requesting approval of the third amendment (“Third Amendment”) to its Energy
Sales Agreement (“ESA”) with Riverside Investments I, LLC (“Seller”) who sells energy to the
Company from the Mora Drop Hydro Project (“Facility”). The Facility is a qualifying facility
under the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978. The Company and Seller have entered
the Third Amendment to provide notice of Net Energy Amounts monthly adjustments, by the 25th
of each month. The Company requests that this case be processed by Modified Procedure under
the Commission’s Rules of Procedure.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of
Modified Procedure and establish a 21-day comment deadline and a 7-day reply comment
deadline.
