Comment: "We have installed a solar PV system at our home, and are interested in expanding it further. Distributed solar systems are good for the individual customer, as well as for Idaho
Power, our environment, and the state of Idaho. By having more distributed solar, the grid benefits by having more reliability and resilience. It offers predictable costs, both for the
customer and for Idaho Power, as there will never be a fuel cost to factor in. It also diminishes the need for purchasing out-of-state produced energy and decreases the need for transmission
lines, as energy is produced locally and with little loss, as that electricity is simply shuttling to the homeowner and neighbors. Idaho Power could also benefit even more if they offered
incentives to PV owners to have storage installed, thereby releasing that electricity when the demand is highest. This would further increase system resilience. Also, with distributed solar,
the system will be further protected from damage from weather extremes that are occurring, and that will worsen as our climate changes. This includes drought causing less hydropower. I
understand that there are costs that are not being shared by customer-owned PV systems currently, but there are also great benefits they produce. I encourage the PUC to ensure that
Idaho Power’s evaluation is fair and thorough and does not simply produce the results that they have previously been seeking."

Comment: "Regarding the importance of residential solar we want to support it and get our own as soon as our local installer can get to us. He's backlogged, and that's good, too. There
should be as much decentralized solar power available as possible. This protects the grid from over demand, protects the homeowner from black outs and rising costs, and makes the
community safer, more resilient. The net metering should be on an equitable basis for the homeowner who has gone to great expense to install and maintain solar panels."

Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission Commission Secretary,
PUC:
My vote is to continue Net Metering as it is currently.
1. Current net metering provides excellent support to the grid when it is overburdened in thesummer.
2. Rooftop solar clients relieve strain on the grid by making their residences more energyefficient.
3. Rooftop solar customers consume power where it is made thereby decreasing thetransmission cost of electricity.
4. Battery customers are especially efficient at reducing grid overload.
In addition, Solar is an important player in Idaho’s clean energy future!
I want the Idaho Power solar valuation study to identify how I can participate in the rooftopsolar program.
Local, clean energy benefits us all and plays an important role in working towards a clean
energy future.
