Subject:IPC-E-21-21 Idaho Power Solar Study
Date:Wednesday, November 10, 2021 7:27:43 AM
Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission,
IPUC,
Please consider my inputs as an owner of a residential Solar Array. I applaud Idaho Powers commitment to reach
100% renewable energy and I hope they will continue to partner with citizens in meeting this goal.
My concern is access and fairness. Idahoan's want, and I think have a right to, have access to determining their
energy inputs (ie alternatives onsite or choice of utility). This choice is extremely important and sets the tone of the
public's relationship to Idaho Power.
I would ask that the IPUC find a fair rate structure that allows for further expansion of public investment into solar
for the treasure valley. Idaho Power and Idahoan's have the same goal, to move to 100% renewables, we can do this
together in an equitable way.
Thank you for your consideration.
Mark Berria,
I?m an Idaho Power customer and I care about protecting every customer?s right to meet their own energy needs
through a fair rooftop solar program, which must be as affordable and accessible as possible. Please ensure that
Idaho Power?s ?value of solar? study is fair, accurate, thorough, and evaluates the wide range of benefits that local,
clean, customer-owned power provides to customers, the utility, and the public at large.
Sincerely,
Mark Berria
