Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission,
I understand the complexities of integrating wind energy into the grid due to its unpredictable generation. Solar
should be easier to integrate, as its output is much more predictable, and the seasonality of production better matches
seasonality demand (summer when irrigation pumps and air conditioner compressors are running). Load shifting to
better match grid production could be accomplished with more aggressive time of day energy rate programs and the
evolving "smart appliances" as well as electric cars that can programmed accordingly. Idaho Power, to their credit,
has an optional time of day rate schedule for residential as well as their "AC cool credit" program to help with load
management. The grid is going to change as micro generation becomes a bigger reality. Please ensure Idaho Power
embraces these changes with fair treatment to their customers who wish to generate with solar.
I?m an Idaho Power customer and I care about protecting every customer?s right to meet their own energy needs
through a fair rooftop solar program, which must be as affordable and accessible as possible. Please ensure that
Idaho Power?s ?value of solar? study is fair, accurate, thorough, and evaluates the wide range of benefits that local,
clean, customer-owned power provides to customers, the utility, and the public at large.
Sincerely,

Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission,
Idaho needs to be a leader in a diversified energy portfolio. Idaho should leave no stone unturned in its work to both
have power and contingency power options as well as a redundant grid to deliver that power at all times. One smart
and increasingly easy and affordable way to do that is through residential solar. Stop allowing special interests to
keep Idaho?s energy portfolio less diverse than it should be. Residential solar helps individuals and the grid. It
simply makes sense. Let that market takeoff in Idaho. The long range benefits will be extraordinary. Thank you

Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission,
I am totally in support of solar energy and we need to make an effort in our state of Idaho to make it affordable for
all, Idaho and our country as a whole needs clean energy options. We have a solar panel that reduces our electric
bill for our hot water and it has made such a difference with our electric bill! We plan to get more panels to reduce
our energy bills in the future.
Support solar and clean energy so we can be proud of Idaho Power and show we care about the future for our
children and our grandchildren. Thank you!

Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission,
I think solar power and wind power are the only way we will be able to sustain our world. The power needs to be
affordable, fair, and accessible to as many people as possible. We must move away from fossil fuels! #Don't Choose

Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission,
I have solar panels and want to help remove some of the pull from the power grid. Our area is growing so fast, it's
important to make sure we're using as much clean, renewable energy as possible.

Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission,
I have had a solar array on my house for years and am "grandfathered" in to your programs. I was looking at
replacing the array with a more efficient array and found out that if I change anything I am no longer grandfathered
in. It is very sad that upgrading a system is a reason to take away benefits, when the reason for upgrading is to
provide even more clean energy.

Hi,
Since so many wildfires are started by power lines and propagated by them I think we should include in the IPC-E-
2021 study a look at the bond and insurance costs of power lines.
