SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF IDAHO POWER COMPANY’S APPLICATION TO
ESTABLISH TARIFF SCHEDULE 68 – INTERCONNECTIONS TO
CUSTOMER DISTRIBUTED ENERGY RESOURCES; CASE NO. IPC-E-
20-30.

On July 20, 2020, Idaho Power Company (“Idaho Power” or “Company”) filed an
Application requesting authority to establish tariff Schedule 68, Interconnections to Customer
Distributed Energy Resources (“Schedule 68”).
On August 27, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of
Intervention Deadline. Order No. 34763. Idaho Conservation League, Idaho Clean Energy
Association, and Idaho Sierra Club timely filed for intervention and were granted intervention.
Order Nos. 34751, 34789. The parties have informally conferred about the schedule and
procedure.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Modified Procedure that
establishes a comment deadline of January 13, 2021, and a reply comment deadline of February 3,
2021. Additionally, Staff recommends the Commission require any workpapers that are material
to a party’s position be filed with comments and a 14-day discovery response period during the
reply period. Staff also recommends an all-party workshop on or about November 10, 2020, to be
held virtually and be made open to the public. The purpose of the workshop is for the parties to
discuss the technical and novel questions at issue in this case while formulating their respective
positions. Staff believes that opening the workshops to the public will provide greater visibility

into the process and provide an opportunity for members of the public with technical expertise
relevant to the case to participate.
COMMISSION DECISION
Does the Commission wish to issue a Notice of Modified Procedure incorporating
Staff’s recommendations and establishing a comment deadline of January 13, 2021, and a reply
comment deadline of February 3, 2021?
