SUBJECT:IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OR
REJECTION OF AN ENERGY SALES AGREEMENT WITH COLEMAN
HYDROELECTRIC LLC; CASE NO. IPC-E -20-27 .
On August 13, 2020, Coleman Hydroelectric, LLC ("Coleman") filed a request for
additional time to file written comments in this case. Coleman contends that it was unaware of the
comment filing deadline until August 12, 2020. Previously in this case, Idaho Power Company
filed an Application seeking approval of its proposed Energy Sales Agreement ("ESA") with
Coleman for the energy generated by the Coleman Hydro Project (the "Facility"). The Facility is
a qualifying facility ("QF") under the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 ("PURPA").
The Commission Staff filed comments on August 6,2020.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has no objection to the request for an extension of time to file comments in this
case. Coleman did not represent when it could file written comments though. Staff recommends
that the Commission give Coleman until August2l,2020 to file comments in this case.

Does the Commission wish to grant Coleman an extension of time to file comments in
this case until August2l,2020.
