energy needs.Extend the comment period beyond the fall harvest season to provide a betteropportunity for those most impacted by these changes to adequately engage. Investing in Solar
is much more important than investing in hydro or nuclear for our future generations. I havespent my entire life hoping the Public Utilities Commission would see priority in Clean
Energy that has a half life that is compatible with life on this planet."

Comment: "Renewable energy is an important and growing resource for Idaho, including solar
energy. Idaho Power's net metering program is one of the few programs in the state that allowsconsumers - residential, ag and business - to participate in delivering renewable energy to the
grid and to be partially (still not fully) reimbursed for that energy. If Idaho Power removes thenet metering program before finalizing a new one it will be detrimental to the renewable
energy growth in Idaho and the individuals and businesses who have already invested. Pleasedo not allow Idaho Power to cut off the program on Dec 1."

Comment: "As a solar owner myself, I am appalled at Idaho Power's attempt to "profiteer" offof current and future private solar owners, including farmers. Idaho Power is actively
discouraging a move to sustainable energy that they can't control or make more profit on thanregular power grid customers, which would mean a loss of freedom for all Idahoans. 1) Idaho
Power should wait to establish a cutoff date for the current solar net metering program forfarmers and businesses until it has a new one in place. A Dec 1, 2020 cutoff is premature. 2)
They should first conduct its required “value of solar” study to determine new and fair exportrates for customer-owned solar. Right now, they want to charge rates that essentially make it
impractical to ever consider solar as an option. 3) They should treat farmers who already ownsolar the same as residential solar-owners by allowing a 25-year legacy treatment period. 10
years is not enough. 4) They should lift the 100 kW/meter cap on solar installations and allowfarmers to invest in solar systems that meet their energy needs. Farmers in Idaho are already
struggling in many cases, and they should have the option to look at alternative routes likesolar for minimizing their long term expenses over a large amount of land. 5) They should
extend the comment period beyond the fall harvest season to provide a better opportunity forthose most impacted by these changes to adequately engage. It's outrageous that they're
attempting to pass these changes during the time when farmers are busiest. An early springcutoff is the only reasonable option. Thank you."
