Eiii ffi ldaho Power's Exit from Coal Plant Lowers Customer Bills On Oct. 11,2019,ldaho Power filed a request with the ldaho Public Utilities Commission (IPUC)to decrease rates for ldaho customers. The decrease is the result of the company's agreement to cease operations at the Boardman coal-fired power plant on Dec. 31, 2020. ldaho Power is requesting the decrease as its exit from Boardman approaches. A refund is due to customers after truing up a balancing account and selling certain plant assets.
