Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission:
I am an Idaho Power customer by default due to my location, but overall I am pleased with
Idaho Power’s commitment to clean energy. Nevertheless, there is room for improvement.
I care about clean energy because I am at the will and mercy of a power greater than anyindividual or company: nature. While we cannot control certain natural events, science has
proven that we humans undoubtedly make an impact on the underlying trends as we seewarmer summers and drier winters leading to a horrific record setting series of wildfire
seasons.
2030 is an admirable goal for a coal free Idaho, but if we can truly recognize the opportunitythat private solar is bringing to market, that goal could be cut in half.
Boise alone is exploding with population growth and development which is already creating a
reservoir of alternatively sourced power that could help us reach the goal of coal free powereven sooner. It is time for we humans to start new trends that consider our impact on nature
and plan for a future without major emissions. Let us make that future arrive as soon aspossible.
Thank you for your reading of my personal opinion, and again, for commitment towards a coal
free Idaho.

Dear Idaho Public Utilities Commission:
Thank you for saving money and decreasing our reliance on fossil fuels by proposing an early
exit from coal powered plants in Nevada. I would also encourage you to clarify yourcommitment to clean energy by investing in Idaho’s abundant solar potential and local energy
storage projects instead of building massive power lines and new methane gas plants. Insteadof stifling customer-owned solar through net metering, Idaho Power should partner with
customers to achieve 100% clean energy for Idaho. It would be a shame not to especially sinceIdaho is blessed with so many good clean power options including abundant solar and wind
power resources.
