SUBJECT: IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S APPLICATION TO REVISE SCHEDULE
91 ENERGY EFFICIENCY RIDER; CASE NO. IPC-E-19-06.
On February 12,2019,ldaho Power Company applied to the Commission for an order
authorizing the Company to revise its Energy Efficiency Rider, Tariff Schedule 91. The Rider pays
for the analysis and implementation of demand-side management programs, and is included on
customers' monthly bills as the Energy Efficiency Services line item. With this Application, the
Company seeks to decrease the Rider collection percentage from 4.75Yo to 2.75Yo of base rate
revenues, effective June I ,2019 . The Company states that if the proposed change is approved, the
price Idaho customers pay for electric service would reflect about a $10.4 million decrease in
annual revenue collection. The Company asks that the case be processed by modified procedure.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of
Modified Procedure setting a 35-day comment deadline and l4-day reply deadline.
