On February 12, ldaho Power filed an application
with the ldaho Public Utilities Commission (IPUC)
requesting to decrease the ldaho Energy Efficiency
Rider (Rider)collection percentage from 3.75 percent
lo 2.75 percent of base rate revenues, effective June 1
The Rider pays for the analysis and implementation
of demand-side management (DSM) programs.
It is included on customers' monthly bills under the
"Energy Efficiency Services" line item.
Based on its current forecast of Rider funding and
Rider expenditures, ldaho Power believes the
2.75 percent Rider collection percentage will better
match funding with expenditures for DSM programs.
How These Proposals
Will Change Prices
lf the proposal to decrease the Rider collection
percentage is approved, the price ldaho customers
pay for electric service will reflect a decrease in
annual revenue collection of about $10.4 million
beginning June 1.
This change will be coupled with other annual
changes, including the Fixed Cost Adjustment (FCA)
filed March 15 and the Power Cost Adjustment (PCA)
filed April '15. Rate changes associated with the FCA
and PCA also take effect June 1.
