Comment: My husband and I are considering installing solar panels on our roof because we wish to support clean energy
and also want to save money on our electric bill. As estimated by two solar companies it will take approximately 10-11
years before we break even on our investment. While we agree we should pay the "monthly customer charge" to use
the grid like everyone else, we should not be penalized for doing so that it prevents us and other homeowners from
changing their power source to cleaner energy. Please keep the net metering rates as they are so that more ldahoans
elect to do the right thing for our environment.

Comment: What is ldaho Power thinking by even considering changing its net metering rates!!
Don't allow ldaho Power to hobble and curtail ldaho's clean energy future by eating into homeowner's pocket books or
other companies wanting to use solar power.
They should be helping the transition to solar not hindering it.

Comment: We are encouraged by ldaho Powers commitment to clean energy. As net-metered customers of ldaho
Power, we also are doing what we believe is right for the environment. We have put our money where our mouths are
on this issue, including continuing to pay service fees to ldaho Power to support service-wide infrastructure. We believe
the partnership between ldaho Power and its net-metered customers is best advanced if ldaho Power treats us fairly as
partners in clean energy, rather than penalizing us for our commitment to the environment.
Respectfully,
Margaret Dimmick

Comment: When moving to ldaho a year ago I was initially disappointed to learn that the state lacked a statewide
requirement of net metering for solar. I was then encouraged that our electric provider, ldaho Power, nonetheless
offered net metering. Partly on that basis, my wife and I invested in solar installation at our home.
I was further encouraged by ldaho Power's recent announcement of a 2045 goal of 100% clean power
It now seems to be a step backward if ldaho Power is requesting the Commission in this proceeding to consider reducing
the rate credited or paid to residential customers for excess power generated by their solar. I understand ldaho Power is
concerned that the current tariff does not capture all costs or is unfair to other customers. However, reducing the net
metering rate would not be fair to customers like us who have already invested in solar, and would undermine
incentives to achieve clean energy.
