Comment:We havea small solar power generator in the McCall area making about 10 mw of power per year for our
cabin there. We use about the same amount and the pay back of our system is going to be about 11years after applying
the state and federal tax credits.I designedthe system and built it myself so my costs were significantly reduced from
those available by commercial vendors.IF the cost of providing connected power is increasevery much when the sun
goes away then the solar generation systems added in Idaho will come to a complete stop. The payback is very marginal
now.We provide our best power in the summer when the AC load is highest and in the winter when the temperatures
are the coldest.Solar panels make much more power when it is cold out.I have almost record days in February when
it's very cold vs summer days when the amount of light is almost twice as much. This has to help Idaho Power on their
highest load days and reduce the necessary infrastructure to generate for the increased load to our very fast growing
state.Reduction in the increase of hydrocarbon-generated power is very important to our atmosphere and the global
warming,(if it is caused by this increase in CO2).Very serious consideration and evaluation should be used in their
request for increased compensation. If it is much more than the $5/month now charged, then they will have to add
hydrocarbon power plants to all our detriment and surely will increase all of our costs.I am a retired PE in Idaho and 3
other states.ThankYou.
