SUBJECT: IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION'S PETITION FOR
EXEMPTION FROM MASTER METERING RULES . CASE NO. IPC.E.
t8-08.
On April 13,2018, the Idaho Department of Administration (IDOA) petitioned the
Commission for an exemption from the Commission's Master-Metering Rules for Electric Utilities
(IDAPA 31.26.01) for the State of Idaho's Chinden Office Complex (the former Hewlett Packard
campus). IDOA also seeks a corresponding waiver of Idaho Power's Master-Metering Standards
in Rule E to Tariff No. l0l. IDOA asks that he Petition be processed as quickly as possible, by
Modified Procedure.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff expects to conduct some discovery in this case. Staff thus recommends that the
Commission issue a Notice of Petition, Notice of Intervention Deadline, and Notice of Modihed
Procedure that sets a l4-day intervention deadline and a June 21,2018 comment deadline. The
Commission should also set a July 5,2018 deadline for the IDOA to file reply comments, if needed.
