Comment:Dear Idaho PUC Commissioners,
I am writing to express concerns about Idaho Power's Net MeteringProposal.
I understand that it is the role of the PUC to protect customers from unreasonable,unfair,and discriminatory rates.It is
also my understanding that Idaho Power's Net MeteringProposal requests to do just that -discriminate and unfairly
charge solar customers on net metering.A new rate class should not be created for solar,net metering customers.
While I myself do not havesolar,I wish my house was a good candidate for it.The more clean energy we can all use,the
better our community,state,planet.We should not be penalizing solar customers,we should be rewarding them.How
can you or anyone justify subsidizing dirty energy?We should be subsidizing (rewarding)clean energy.
The recent increase in the clean energy business has created many new,high paying jobs around the whole.We (Idaho)
should be embracing this and doing everything we can to further the industries.
I hope the Idaho PUC will do the right thing and reward,not penalize,net metering customers.Please deny Idaho
Power's proposal for a new rate structure for the net metering customers.
