Comment:I strongly encourage you to deny Idaho Power's application to changetheir netmetering policy.Their
argument that current netmetering billing practices negatively affect non-netmetering customers is purely in self-
interest,short-sighted,and incomplete. While netmetering does allow those with Distributed Generation to save on
battery costs by utilizing the Grid,it also decreasesthe total cost of transmission and distribution by producing energy
close to the source. It also avoids the many negative environmental and social externalities of conventional power
production including increased carbon emissions, nuclear waste, and coal mining,to name a few.I wish to live in an
Idaho that can be proud of its energy sources and independence, not ashamed. Please deny Idaho Power's petition.
