Comment:I am concerned that Idaho Power's request to create a new rate schedule for solar energy customers is
premature;IDP should study the costs and benefits of net metering and solar usage more comprehensively before just
jumping into a new rate structure.The case has not yet been proven.The externalities of climate change's costs must
be taken into account.
This IDP request creates a lot of uncertainty in the renewable energy markets and may seriously discourage people from
installing solar just when we need to be reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and other non-renewables.Please do not
allow an expedited processingof this request.We need more research.

I want Idaho Public Utilities Commission to know:
I want to keep solar and wind power affordable in Idaho.
I may want to put solar power on my propertyin the future.
liike solar &wind power because they will bring thousandsof jobs to Idaho
I would like to see aAstate incentive program for installation of solar and/or wind.
Idaho Power should continue to pay for power generated by customers;keep
Schedule 84 that provides net metering.
Idaho Power should embrace solar power because it reduces the need for power during
the day when air conditioners are runningthe most.
Idaho should work withtheir customers to develop strategies to encourage distributed
generation,as other power companies do.
Idaho Power should invest in more renewable energy and divest from fossil fuels.
Idaho Power should reimburse the cost of a home owner's solar system because they
reduce the need for more infrastructure(power lines,power plants,etc.).
