Comment:I am disheartened that Idaho Power is trying to punish customers for doing the right thing--generating clean
and renewable energy. What are we thinking here folks? This is the direction we need to move, not backwards. Please
reconsider this very poor position.
Thank you.

Comment:I encourage you to reject Idaho Power?s proposal to charge customers who produce solar power at a higher
rate than traditional customers.Punishing those who invest in solar options is an unfair and, frankly, backward reaction
to clean energy options that we should be embracing. For any company to single out and discriminate against
customers on such a basis is alarming and should not be allowed.

Comment:I ask that you reject Idaho Power’s proposal to create a new rate class for customers with on-site generation
and net metering.Idaho Power has been a monopoly for far too long and now that alternative energy is more cost
effective for individuals, doesn’t mean that they should be penalized for choosing another method.By installing solar
panels on my roof this year,I have chosen to help lessen the amount on the existing and aging grid.Idaho Power’s rate
structure proposal should not be approved before Idaho Power and the PUC have thoroughly reviewed the benefits andcostsofcustomer-generated renewable energy to the electric grid. Please require that Idaho Power evaluate the full
benefits and costs before applying to change the rate structure.ldaho Power’s proposal to create a new rate structure is
premature. The PUC should not entertain such a proposal until Idaho Power can provide a detailed justification. The fact
that the utility is not requesting pricing changes at this time does not alleviate this situation.ldaho Power’s proposal lays
the groundwork for future rate proposals that could reduce the affordability and adoption of solar and other renewable
energy. The PUC should reject Idaho Power’s proposal because the utility’s customers would lose out on the benefits
that customer-generated renewable energy provides such as “grid resilience.”Thank you for hearing my concerns.
