Comment:The comments that I am submitting are about the case above.
I am requesting that Idaho Power not be approved on the mentioned case.My reasons are;if Idaho Power is losing
money,have they looked at their own operations,and made the cost cutting move’s that we as rate payers expect?
Have the topic that some of their Hydroelectric facilities,are costing more in maintenance,then are making in electrical
production.Before there is any type of consideration such as they are proposing,shouldn’t their current operation be
performing at optmonial capacity?
Alternative sources of power are the future of this country,when is the PUC going to demand that the utilities they
oversee,do their part to reduce Global Warming?
I feel that the future generations,should have the opportunity to enjoy our Earth,and Solar Power is a positive step in
that direction.

Comment:We ask that the PUC not approve these discriminatory changes,which the utility is proposing before having
an analysis of the costs and benefits of the solar energy that customers put back on the grid.
We feel that their proposal of creating a separate rate schedule now will open up the opportunity for unbridled
adjustments in the future as they see fit as it wouldn’t be regulated by the residential schedules.
We add electricity to the grid during high demand hours.We only take back from the grid at low demand hours.Our
solar units produce clean electricity at our own expense and upkeep.

have a solar system on the roof of my home that was installed last year and the system has been producing more power

Comment:I am asking the commission to protect the growing renewable industry in Idaho and the freedom of Idaho
customers to provide some of their own electricity.The values of our state strongly support individual freedom and fair
competition.Our electric utilities should receive fair compensation from all customers for the use and maintenance of
the electric grid.And customers who produce some of their own power should be encouraged to do so.The move to
clean,locally produced energy in Idaho will strengthen our economy in many ways.We should embrace new technology
that allows us more freedom from imported fossil fuels and replaces those with new job opportunities for ldahoans.

As a new solar roof owner and net meter customer as of August 2017,I’m very nervous about Idaho Power designating a
new customer class.
Creating a new customer class without defining the rules will reduce the adoption of solar in Idaho,and it will slow the
pace of change that people like me all across Idaho have started by installing solar and supporting clean,renewable
energy.
