Comment:I recently installed a solar power system at my residence.I ask that the PUC not approve these
discriminatory changes,which the utility is proposing before having an analysis of the costs and benefits of the solar
energy that customers put back on the grid.
I feel that their proposal of creating a separate rate schedule now will open up the opportunity for unbridled
adjustments in the future as they see fit as it wouldn’t be regulated by the residential schedules.

Comment:I would like to comment on Idaho Power’s application to change their net metering fees.I have not seen any
proof from Idaho Power that by having me hooked up to the power system I am taking something away from my
neighbors.In fact I could be saving everyone some money by using less power and thereby keeping power costs down.I
consider the solar panels that I installed similar to every other energy saving device that I have installed and that Idaho
Power encourages.Tiered rates such as those for our water bills would be great and would even further encourage
people to cut down on their energy usage.Please look forward to the future of our state and think about our children.
They deserve a legacy with cleaner power.

Comment:My comments are about Case #IPC-E-17-13,I am astonished that this is even being brought up.
My wife and I chose Boise,Idaho for our home,because it was considered a innovative and green state.
The case being presented clearly sends the message,that it isn’t that state.Yes being a prudent person we are
concerned about our natural resources,and what we pass on to the next generation.
Utility companies in other states are concerned about the over use of how we light,and heat our homes,so now we
have alternatives,Solar and Wind.The fact is that the utilities in Arizona,California,Nevada,Texas,Minnesota,Florida,
have been and continue to build facilities to harness what mother nature gives us for free.
At this point in the State of Idaho,the private citizen’s are the ones that are footing the costs to use alternative means
(Solar)for energy.
The infrastructure that Idaho Power depends on Hydroelectric,how long before some of those dam’s will need to be
removed,so the Salmon can return to their spawning grounds?
Like some other state’s Idaho is in a position to become one of the leaders in the use of alternative energy.
Please do not let Idaho Power have their way on the backs of the rate payers.
