Comment:I urge the IPUC to deny Idaho Power’s application.I installed a net metering system for my home in the past
couple of years,and fully support efforts by homeowners to be able to produce their own power and help Idaho Power
produce more power when the demand is highest.Solar panels bought and installed by customers actually helps reduce
the need for expanded infrastructure as demands for energy in Idaho increase due to increases in population.Solar
panels generate much needed power during very hot weather when most customers are running their air conditioners
all day.Idaho Power’s request for “closure of Schedule 84,Customer Energy Production Net Metering,(“Schedule 84”)
to new service for residential and small general service (‘R&SGS”)customers with on-site generation after December 31,
2017”will unfairly discourage people from installing alternative energy systems on their property.We need to remove
obstacles to sustainable energy,not create more of them.
