Comment:First,I thank the Commission &Staff for disallowing IPC,a couple of years ago, from increasing net meteringcustomerchargefor400%and disallowing them from zero-ing out our kWhr bank on 1 Jan of each year.
In IPC’s recent letter to us net metering folks,IPC appeals to our altruistic sense of fairness;that our neighbors are
paying for our meters and wiring.
I hope the Commission will require IPC to include in the request that,in the name of fairness, they will calculate for eachofushowmuchofthecostofmeterandwiresasalreadybeenwrittenoffandtosetupapaymentplanfortheremainingcost.
Or,perhaps my “neighbors”don’t mind paying for my meter and wires? How about IPC send out a ballot to their
500,000 customers and ask if they are willing to pay a fraction of a penny for us 1400 net metering folks?
Finally, one wise man said “Life is NOT fair. That’s a third grade falsehood.”Perhaps it would be too costly for IPC’s
budget to workout individual payment plans in light of the fraction of a penny cost to non-net metering customers.
Again,it is suggested that the Commission REQUIRE IPC to indicate in their case the intent to work out individualpaymentplansifthenewtariffsaretobeconsideredatall.
Thanks for reading along.
